2 positions - Research Assistant - salary grade E 13 TV-L Berliner Hochschulen

part-time employment may be possible

Working field:

  • Security Evaluation of hardware used in quantum communication
  • Side-Channel Attacks against embedded systems
  • Fault-Injection Attacks against embedded systems
  • Development of novel attacks against embedded systems
  • Hardware design
  • Development of different setups for evaluation of embedded systems

Requirements:

  • Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in computer science or a related field
  • Background knowedge of concepts and recent technology in the field of Hardware Security
  • Experience in Hardware Design (FPGA or ASIC)
  • Experience in the security evaluation of embedded systems of software and hardware (e.g., Side-Channel Attacks or Fault Injection Attacks)
  • Programming skills in C and Python
  • Very good skills of abstraction, modelling, and finding creative solutions
  • Good knowledge of German and/or English required; willingness to acquire the missing language skills
