Your responsibility:

The selected candidates will have opportunities to work in an enriching interdisciplinary environment, with significant potential for broad impact in terms of technology development, industry involvement, and educational initiatives. The focus of the Leibniz project is on communication technology, information theory and wireless communication. This postdoctoral research project focuses on modern coding and modulation techniques combining LDPC codes with Sparse Regression codes (SR-LDPC), with focus on coded modulation design for multiuser MIMO systems in 6G.

Your profile:

  • Successfully completed scientific university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) and, at the time of recruitment, a doctorate PhD degree in a field of Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, relevant to the research topic described below.
  • Applicants must have a professional background and, preferably, have already published work in a field that is related to the research agenda of the chair.
  • Specific know-how and experience in LDPC coding/decoding, BP algorithm, AMP algorithm, multiuser MIMO channel models, and a good understanding of the 5G and 6G physical layer.
  • Good knowledge of German and/or English required; willingness to acquire the respective missing language skills
