The Chair of Advanced Structures at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar is looking for a motivated student assistant (Hiwi) to support the Science Camp “Structural soundscapes – Acoustic interpretation of earthquake and structural vibrations”. The Science Camp is part of the ProTELC project and brings together Master’s students from universities in the Allianz THÜR ING network. Details about the Science Camp can be found here.
Tasks:
Support social activities and workshops during the camp
Assist in the hands-on project phase (testing and measurement)
Post-camp: analysis and post-processing of vibration/acoustic data
Enrolled at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar
Good knowledge of signal analysis and structural dynamics
Ideally working on a thesis in a related topic (Master or Doctoral thesis)
Team spirit and good communication skills in English (German a plus)
Contract duration: 2 months
Start date: 22.09.2025 (first day of the science camp)
