Intern (f/m/div) for a project on recognizing Microaggression

Working field:

The Optics and Sensing Laboratory at the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems in Tübingen has an open position for an intern to join an ongoing collaborative research project with the Organizational Leadership and Diversity Group of MPI IS Stuttgart on recognizing microaggression at workplaces.

Your tasks:

  • Create a photo-realistic, fully-rigged human avatar that serves as an ‘aggressor’ using Metahuman Creator Tool
  • Set up the human avatar to interface with predefined scripts that defines behavior and/or movement sequences
  • Train other members of the project to control the avatar
  • Assist the analysis of the avatars’ realism by conducting perception studies
  • Extend the control of the avatar for real-time application

Requirements:

  • Experience in Animation & Programming
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English
  • A natural team player and detail-oriented person
  • Duration of 4-6 months, full time (39 hrs./week)
